The Roots

The legendary Roots Crew has become one of the most recognized and respected hip-hop acts in the industry. They have been nominated for a Grammy twelve times and have taken home the award four times, including "Best R&B Album" for Wake Up!, "Best Traditional R&B Vocal Performance" for "Hang in There" (with John Legend) and "Best Group or Duo R&B Vocal Performance" for Shine. In addition, the festival "The Roots Picnic", which they launched at of and which presents the stars of the hip-hop scene every year, has become a celebrated institution. The Roots have been named one of the best international live bands by Rolling Stone and are the official house band of Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
