Brent Faiyaz

In the mid-2010s, Christopher Brent Wood aka Brent Faiyaz began his solo career with a series of of singles and the EP A. M. Paradox. He is also the vocalist for the trio Sonder. In 2017 he released his first solo album Sonder Son in allusion to this.

In the same year, he was involved with rapper Shy Glizzy on the single Crew of GoldLink. It was very successful and went 4x platinum.[1] On the official singles chart, the song came in at #45. At the 2018 Grammy Awards, they were nominated for an award in the Best Performance - Rap/Vocals category.

The success brought Faiyaz to No. 1 on Next Big Sound of magazine and also minor success in the R&B evaluations of the charts. But the real breakthrough came in early 2020 with his second solo album Fuck the World. It reached No. 20 on the U.S. album charts and even managed to place in the British charts. In February 2021, the collaboration with Tyler, the Creator on the song Gravity brought him his first own success in the US singles charts.
