Zay Isaiah Rashad never looks back. Instead, he never stops moving forward. That's why the internet has been trying so hard to keep up since the Chattanooga, Tennessee-born, Los Angeles-based artist emerged in 2012. XXL brought him into its prestigious "Freshman Class," while his project Cilvia Demo earned a rare score of 8.2 of Pitchfork. Two years later, his debut full-length, "The Sun's Tirade," landed in the Top 20 of the Billboard Top 200 and in 2016 landed on over a dozen year-end top lists including UPROXX, L.A. Weekly, Inverse, Stereogum, Pop Matters, Pigeons & Planes, Pitchfork and more. Between sold-out Shows of coast to coast and nearly 500 million total streams, he long stared down his demons from the spotlight and retreated. By the time he dove back into music, his life had changed. The process changed, so he refocused and teamed up with new collaborators like Kenny Beats.
