Ekkstacy

EKKSTACY has found a unique sound for himself, which he describes as a mixture of indie, post-punk and synth-wave. Inspired of by artists like Elliot Smith, The Drums or Bon Iver, nostalgic 80s vibes resonate in his music again and again. But even if pessimism and melancholy of EKKSTACY are gladly and often used motifs, his songs are not afraid to go forward and rage energetically once or twice.

EKKSTACY stands in humorous contrast to each other. First of all, its name reminds of a party drug, but it itself couldn't be further of from the euphoria that is triggered after popping this pill. EKKSTACY provide space for a generation that would like to have fun but is drowning in sadness, that longs to make an impression on the world and wonders what contribution it can make that has not yet been made.
