Australian singer-songwriter BUDJERAH has a penchant for the shiny and unforgettable sound of old-school soul singers*. This passion is evident in his eponymous debut EP, released in early 2021, whose musical style was reminiscent of the classic records he grew up with on the coast of New South Wales.
BUDJERAH's career took off in October 2020 with his acclaimed debut single "Missing You," which reached #1 most played track on major Australian radio station Triple J.
His hit single, released shortly thereafter, followed up that success by landing in the Top 30 nationwide. His latest single, "Wash My Sorrows Away," follows five ARIA nominations - including Best Artist, Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist and Best Soul/RNB Release - as well as winning a NIMA (National Indigenous Music Awards) for Best New Talent.
